Guests have recently pointed out unsightly leaves and grass cuttings left outside their lodge entrances—particularly after Finlake’s scheduled park strimming and grounds maintenance. Whilst Devon Cleaning Company team always sweep and tidy decking areas before guest arrivals, strimmed grass and loose debris can often reappear before check-in, affecting the overall presentation, as well as being walked into the property.

To combat this, we’ve now purchased a Mountfield 20 Li Cordless Axial Blower (20V, 2Ah battery)—a powerful, lightweight leaf blower ideal for quickly clearing:

  • Lodge decking,

  • Pathways,

  • And front steps.

This tool allows them to swiftly and efficiently remove leaves, grass trimmings, and light debris right up to the moment of guest arrival—so every property looks picture-perfect from the first step.

We’ve also listened closely to feedback from guests who felt that, despite the floors being mopped and cleaned, some deep-seated grime remained—particularly on high-traffic hard flooring.
