At Reliance Retreats, we’ve always believed that the more people hear about Devon Holidays, the more bookings our property owners will see. Over recent months, we’ve taken deliberate steps to grow our online visibility — particularly through increased marketing activity on Facebook — alongside more traditional methods like sign-written vehicles with QR codes.
Further to our previous article, we wanted to share with you some of the results so far and what’s planned next.
Facebook Marketing Growth
As highlighted before, Reliance Retreats has invested significant time and resources into developing and scheduling regular, engaging posts for the Devon Holidays Facebook page. The reaction has been outstanding.
📊 At the time of writing (18th July, 12:00):
-
476% increase in post views — with over 23,043 views in the last 28 days alone.
-
214% increase in post interactions — likes, comments, and shares have surged.
-
117% increase in new followers — bringing more visibility to your holiday properties.
We now have at least one article going live every day, typically scheduled for around 7:00 AM, to catch both early risers and holiday planners. These posts focus on promoting local attractions such as:
-
Pennywell Farm
-
Canonteign Falls
-
Devon Sea Safari
We’re using these posts to highlight what makes South Devon special for guests — creating more reasons for them to book and stay at your properties.
Forward Planning:
Content is already scheduled in our system through to the first week of January 2026. This includes specialist posts marking key dates such as:
-
Christmas
-
Halloween
-
Remembrance Day
-
Easter and summer bank holidays
Our aim is to keep Devon Holidays top of mind all year round for both returning and new guests.
Sign-Written Company Vehicles with QR Codes
In addition to social media, we’ve introduced another simple but highly effective form of marketing: sign-writing on company vehicles.
Jason’s company car now proudly displays:
-
Devon Holidays branding on the rear
-
QR codes on the back and sides that direct straight to the Devon Holidays website
The Result?
-
The QR code on Jason’s car, as well as from its use at the local football tournament, has already been scanned nearly 200 times in just over 7 days.
-
This number is steadily growing as Jason drives around — especially on regular trips down to Devon.
We’ve also extended this to Jason’s wife’s car, adding similar signage and QR codes. It’s a simple but visible way to keep the brand in front of potential guests.

Why This Matters for Owners
These efforts aren’t just about raising our profile — they’re about increasing bookings and ensuring your properties stay occupied. The more people who engage with Devon Holidays online and in-person, the more visibility and interest there is in the properties we manage.
We’ll continue monitoring engagement stats, adapting content, and looking for new ways to market Devon Holidays creatively and effectively.
Thank you for trusting Reliance Retreats with your holiday property. If you have any questions about our marketing strategy, feel free to get in touch with us directly.
